hey all,
I've been searching for a good avi to mp3 converter, but can't seem to find any that work with screen readers. Any tips as to what to try?
My main reason for want to convert is so the files would work on my braillenote which doesn't support avi files.
Avi files are for example, a video off of youtube? So, you want to have the mp3 audio?
I use switch converter from the nch folks. They are the same company that offers wavepad.
Switch sound file converter is easy to use and works great with a screen reader. I've got in quite the habit of using it to convert my avi into mp3.
i use free youtube to mp3 converter, you find the link you want on youtube, paste it in to the programme, and then press download. very very accesible, oh and some more advice, set it to high quality for best performance
Klango also converts, unfortunately the file size is the same no matter what quality you have it set to.
i'd use switch if i could, but they don't seem to have their free version any longer and my trial is expired. these files are a movie i downloaded, not from Youtube though
if you have a program like soundforge or adobe audition floating around they will do it as well.
if you want the switch program rat email me and I can send it to you. they do have it but it is hard to find on the site.
i managed to find it, and the conversion went really well. thanks for the help guys
Another idea although this was kind of mentioned is Goldwave. It will do a nice job as well.
